Production and Robust Design

The development of the Cup-Of-Tea™ concept uses the principles of Design for Lean Six Sigma. It is evident that leaving the chalk line out will reduce the complexity and the number of process steps of your production. Furthermore the design is more robust not having to cope with the narrow tolerances for the fixture of the chalk line. Turning the chalk line around the bag will not add any value for the consumer and is only mend to prevent the defect of knottiness.

Improving the quality of the teabag packing process will reduce your costs:

  • The production machines will be less capital-intensive (interest and depreciation);
  • The production machines will use less energy;
  • The maintenance of the production machines will be less and the downtime will be lower;
  • A reduction of component costs;
